Projahnmo Research Foundation (PRF) in association with Johns Hopkins University, USA has a long and illustrious history of conducting research in Bangladesh. PRF’s research has contributed to improvements of health of Bangladeshi citizens and has supported the career development of numerous Bangladeshi public health professionals. Projahnmo Research Foundation is seeking qualified and motivated applicants from Bangladeshi nationals for the position of Research Assistant for a multi-country, multi-center, double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized trial. The study will be implemented at six hospitals located in Dhaka and Sylhet.

Job Description/Responsibilities

  • Assist hospital staff in screening and enrollment of study participants
  • Obtain consent for study participants prior data collection
  • Collect baseline information from study participants and perform anthropometric measurements of mother and neonate
  • Perform home visits and collect data from study participants as per protocol
  • Ensure proper maintenance and dispensing of study related logistics and supplies
  • Maintain records of all study related documents and logs as per protocol
  • Monitor temperature log of study drugs as per protocol
  • Perform timely data entry of all completed case report forms
  • Scan of all case report forms and upload in the designated Dropbox
  • Coordinate with clinical and non-clinical staff of the hospital for proper management of trial participants

Educational Requirement and relevant experience:

  • Bachelor degree in any subject; one-year experience in data collection or research work will be an added advantage.

Job Requirements:

  • Computer skill in MS word and excel
  • Knowledge of ethical guidelines
  • Knowledge on data collection methods and data entry
  • Should be able to work with a diverse team
  • Should be willing to accept challenges and able to handle multiple tasks at a time
  • Should be able to communicate effectively
  • Should have a drive to learn and solve problems
  • Able to work at hospital environment

Job Location: Anywhere in study hospitals at Dhaka and Sylhet where the trial will be implemented: Center for Women and Child Health (CWCH), Ashulia, Dhaka; Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College and Hospital (SOMCH), Sylhet; Jalalabad Ragib Rabeya Medical college and Hospital (JRRMCH), Sylhet, Sylhet Women’s Medical college and Hospital, Sylhet.

Salary: Taka 20,020/- per month. 12% retirement fund contribution by PRF will be given as per organizational policy.
