Senior Research Officer / Training Officer

Job Description/Responsibility

  • Strategic planning and program management. Assist in managing the project under guidance of the supervisor. Actively contribute in strategic planning of program activities and implementation. Assist in preparing annual workplan and track implementation progress. 
  • Technical assistance and capacity building. Implement overall capacity building activities in consultation with supervisor. Conduct capacity building activities. Develop training curriculum and trainer manual.  
  • Field implementation. Organize and monitor training at local level. Organize and monitor community sensitization meetings. Organize national and local level orientation meetings, workshops and seminars, and prepare meeting notes. Make presentations at national and local workshops.
  • Coordination and networking. Maintain liaison with program-level stakeholders. Participate in and represent the Council in inter-agency networks.
  • Supervision and monitoring. Supervise field activities and undertake routine monitoring visits to the field.
  • Communication and documentation. Prepare presentations for professional meetings. Organize dissemination meetings. Assist in preparing progress reports as well as other reports for donors.
  • Any other job assigned by the supervisor 

Job Nature: Contractual

Educational & Other Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in the social communications, social sciences, public health or related discipline from recognized university
  • Expertise in curriculum and training modules development
  • Strong writing and oral communication skills
  • Willingness to travel to project areas frequently
  • Able to work in a team and with other stakeholders

Experience Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in implementing projects/research on life skills education and adolescent reproductive health/ child marriage
  • Experience in conducting training programs on adolescent reproductive health and life skills education

Salary Range: Depending on qualification and experience attractive packages will be offered
