Founded over 80 years ago, Plan International is one of the oldest and largest children's development organizations in the world. Plan International plays an important role in mobilising children, communities and civil society organisations to claim the rights of children and achieve agreed upon local development priorities, towards a commitment to ensuring the wellbeing of children in support of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).

Plan International works in fifty-two developing countries across Africa, Asia and the South America, and twenty-one countries raise funds to support these efforts. Plan International's stated Global Strategic Goal is to reach as many children as possible, particularly those who are excluded or marginalized, with high-quality programs that deliver long-lasting benefits. Children are at the heart of everything we do.

Plan International has been operating in Bangladesh since 1994, helping children access their rights to health, education, economic security and protection. Currently, under Country Strategy (CS) IV (2016-2020) Plan International Bangladesh is implementing programmes in six thematic areas: health, education, child protection, water and sanitation, youth engagement and employment, and disaster risk management and climate change. Through interventions of Plan International Bangladesh, more than 3,500,000 people including women, children and vulnerable are benefitted across 13 districts.

Under this background Plan International’s SRHR programme currently reaches out to 874,000 young people from Haor, Chittagong Hill Tracts, ethnic minority groups and marginalized sections of the society in 11 districts all over Bangladesh.  SRHR is a cross cutting theme that is integrated within Plan International Bangladesh’s several projects under Health, Protection, Education and Humanitarian response portfolios.   A national leader in adolescent-friendly SRHR programming (particularly for girls), Plan International Bangladesh builds the knowledge, skills, and self-efficacy of adolescent girls and boys to make healthy decisions for themselves, counter harmful practices i.e. child marriage, while strengthening an enabling family, school and community environment such that adolescents’ voices are heard in decisions that affect them. At the same time the organization works with relevant government ministries for sexuality education and adolescent friendly health service delivery and increasing accountability of the system to deliver these services to young people.

Submission of Proposal

Interested consultant/consulting firms are requested to submit a technical and a financial proposal through email at with a cover letter addressing the Administrative Coordinator of Administration, Plan International Bangladesh. The deadline of proposal submission is the 18th April 2019.
