Health Specialist

Based at Barisal + Contract upto June 2021

The role:

Reporting to the Divisional Manager, the Health Specialist will support partner NGOs in implementing MNCH, Nutrition, ASRH related projects. S/he is responsible for monitoring programme quality, documentation and dissemination of innovations and good practices. S/he will contribute to policy research and advocacy on projects through networking and collaboration with relevant civil society organisations, duty bearers and other institutions at district level. The Specialist is also responsible for providing technical assistance and appropriate monitoring and evaluation in emergency responses.

 Qualification and experience required:

  • MPH. MBBS will be preferred.
  • At least 5 years’ experience with partners in implementing MNCH, Nutrition and ASRHR projects
  • Demonstrated skills in providing technical inputs for addressing MNCH issues and the result chain of projects.
  • Exposure to community development especially in the child rights development;
  • Willingness to visit remote areas and to work with children and young people;
  • Ability to develop budget and to monitor outcomes;
  • Produce different reports;
  • willingness to ride motorcycle;
  • Clear understanding of development agenda of Bangladesh.
  • Professional training programs on community clinics, MNCH and ASRHR
