Seeking Expressions of Interest for implementing the “Aparajita” child marriage prevention project

Plan International is one of the oldest and largest children's development organisations in the world. Plan International strives for a just world that promotes children’s rights and equality for girls. Plan International Bangladesh’s Aparajita project funded by Global Affairs Canada is seeking to reduce the vulnerability of adolescents, particularly girls, to child early and forced marriage (CEFM) in all Divisions of Bangladesh with a specific focus on reducing the under-15 and under-18 marriages of girls in Bhola and Jhalokati districts.   In this context, we are seeking expressions of interest (EOIs) from national NGOs and other entities for implementing the “Aparajita” project in one or both of the following two streams:

District Model: The proposed project will implement a comprehensive ‘District Model’ to combat CEFM in Bhola and Jhalokati districts in Barishal Division. Partner/s will be responsible for field level implementation and social mobilization.

National Scale-up: The scaling-up of the SMS-based age verification and on-line marriage registration systems will be rolled-out in all Divisions of the country.

Under both the streams, child, youth and women rights based organizations/ institutions/ networks/ alliance/ forums are especially encouraged to apply to implement the project in one or more Divisions.

Plan International Bangladesh will assess the EOIs according to its Partners Assessment Guidelines for shortlisting. The Terms of Reference (ToR) and Self-Assessment Tools are available in the following link: https://tinyurl.com/planpartnership

Interested applicants that meet the criteria mentioned in the ToR are invited to kindly submit

  2. The completed Self-Assessment Tool (can be accessed through the above link)

Both documents need to be submitted through email at buildingbetter.partnership@plan-international.org or a hard copy by courier before or on 2nd September 2018.
