Advisor- Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR)

Based at Country Office

Responsibilities of the position: 

Reporting to Head of Health Programme, the Advisor-SRHR will be responsible for providing overall technical oversight and strategic guidance to all SRHR interventions under Plan International Bangladesh’s different programmes (e.g. Health, Education, Protection and Emergency) along with specific support to SRHR component of different projects. This will include developing SRHR technical guidelines, project proposals, technical/policy briefs, annual work plans; assessing training needs; designing curricula and developing/adapting training modules/manuals;  conducting training programs; development of project IEC/BCC materials and materials for media campaign on SRHR; managing relationship with PNGOs and other stakeholders. One of the major role of this position is to facilitate implementation of Adolescent Friendly Health Services at health service facilities and Comprehensive Sexuality Education in secondary schools in collaboration with government and other stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:

For this role, the position holder is expected to have a Master’s in Public Health (MPH) degree where MBBS degree will add value and at least five years’ experience in similar position focusing on Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights. In addition, the ideal candidate must have excellent communication skill and high level proposal & report writing ability. This position requires 40% field visits.
