Salary & benefits Monthly consolidated BDT 55,000-65,000 including all other benefits and allowances.  Experienced and skilled candidate would be offered with appropriate packages.
Travel Frequent visits to project sites and occasional travels to Ukhia and Leda (Teknaf), Cox’s Bazaar

About the role

Based in Ukhiya/ Teknaf (Leda), Cox’s Bazaar the Project Officer (Technical) will provide technical support on Faecal Sludge Management, Waste Management, Alternative Energy, Bio Gas components under Humanitarian Response Project of Practical Action in the camps for displaced Myanmar nationals.

Responsibilities:

  • Play the technical role in designing, estimating BoQ and constructing appropriate waste management, bio gas alternative energy technologies
  • Provide training, engage and supervise the construction team for setting up of necessary hardware
  • Assist the project team in formulating project implementation plan along with other relevant stakeholders and execute as well
  • Provide critical inputs and opinions to the Project Lead and implementation team in determining the selection of appropriate technology and work plan
  • Provide technical guidance to plant operation team and other technical staff on different technological aspects such as improvement, troubleshooting and quality assurance of the project
  • Contribute to evidence generation for technical innovations and context specific solutions by Practical Action under Humanitarian situation

About you

Essential experience, knowledge and skills:

  • BSc/MSC in Engineering (Civil/Environment) from a reputed university
  • Minimum of 03 years of professional experience. Relevant professional experience would be given preference
  • Excellent facilitation, coordination, team management, reporting and presentation skill
  • Ability to work in a diversified team and meeting deadlines
  • Fluency in English language and proficiency in computer application
