About the role

Based in Ukhia, the Hygiene Promotion Officer will be responsible for organising and facilitating the key activities at the field level under assigned project.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates training in hygiene promotion (for the staffs, volunteers, health workers, WASH committee members)
  • Develops hygiene promotion activities for categorical groups/populations which include interventions like awareness raising campaigns, focus group discussions etc.
  • Monitors the hygiene promotion activities and track performances against the deliverables timeline
  • Assists the project coordinator and senior management in preparing various reports and documents with qualitative and quantitative information on the ongoing construction works of the project
  • Assists the project lead in preparing the budget proposal and logistics for hygiene promotion activities: making and follow-up of core purchase order, quality control of material delivered by suppliers etc. 
  • Arranges and coordinates weekly or monthly coordination meetings including camp level WASH agencies meeting and attend sectoral meetings to update the project activities and situation at the camp.

About you

Essential experience, knowledge and skills:

  • Relevant Master’s degree with minimum 5 years of relevant working experience preferably with INGOs.
  • Dynamic and creative, keen to learn, can collaborate with multiple groups and inspire others, takes responsibilities for on-time delivery.
  • Well conversant in English
  • Interpersonal skill
  • Good writing skill
