Salary Monthly Gross BDT 45,000- 55,000 and other benefits i.e. Festival Bonus, Gratuity, PF, Insurance coverage as per organisation policy, subject to qualification and experiences.
Travel Expected, approximately 1-3 weeks per quarter local travel plus 1 week per year international travel

About the role

This is a mid-level core position in the Thematic Leadership Unit to analyse the business case for selection and /or strengthen of any innovative enterprise for sustainable poverty reduction of socio culturally vulnerable people in urban and rural context.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead in cost and benefit analysis of any innovative small and medium businesses/enterprises for increasing access to services by poor people both in urban and rural areas
  • Lead to assess the viability of any business followed by IRR and NPV
  • Lead in financial and business modelling of any innovative green products and services
  • Lead in capacity building of local business stakeholders including informal sectors in market assessment, business planning and market development
  • Introduce innovative tools and checklist to generate new business ideas related with appropriate technologies for inclusive development of rural and urban poor
  • Lead in preparation of contracting documents between private business companies and local authorities for delivering improve services
  • Networking and linkage development with local and national network of business organisations
  • Need to support other thematic areas as and when necessary basis to deal with market mapping, business model development and as relevant

About you

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration/ Marketing/ Finance/ Economics/ Management Information Systems (MIS)/ Accounting preferably with Master in Business Administration
  • At least 3 years of working experience of business implementation of which 1 year should include financial modelling experience.
  • Experience working with technology and innovation, social inclusion will be an added advantage
  • In-depth understanding of the development priorities of Bangladesh and how to include business ideas to achieve environment/livelihoods/urban/energy/agriculture etc. sector development.
  • Ability to design short term and long term and cross sectoral program
  • Ability to design and deliver business models and prepare forecasting for businesses.
  • Excellent report writing, analytical and communication skills
  • Excellent oral presentation skills and in-depth knowledge and experience in major donor reporting requirements
  • Excellent ability to work with a virtual cross-functional team
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and set priorities
  • Fluency in Bangla and English required
