Salary & Benefits: BDT. 7,27,205 per annum (13 months) plus 10% market supplement with other benefits e.g. medical for spouse and children, contributory provident fund, gratuity, leave & Insurance etc.

The Role:
The Logistics Officer Warehouse is responsible to ensure that all items delivered in Warehouse are properly managed, organised, reported and taken care of. All items are valuable and must be registered. Ensuring a good communication with Logistics teams as well as Program is essential to provide a good management of the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Communication and organisation with Program/ Procurement teams:

  • Ensure daily good communication with Procurement and Program teams regarding movements of goods (suppliers’ deliveries / stock request from Program).
  • Check on daily basis with Procurement teams that Purchase Orders and Requisitions are sent on time in order to have a clear idea of deliveries plan/schedule.
  • In coordination with the Logistics Officer Distribution/ Program team and Sr Log Officer Camp support (if necessary), the Logistics Off. WH will organise materials/goods, transport and assist program to support the distribution plan.
  • Provide any support to Program teams to fill documents part of the WH management process (especially Stock request, Waybill and GRN)
  • Ensure communication with suppliers in order to organise scheduled deliveries

Warehouse management / Use of Oxfam documents and follow up/implementation of Oxfam processes:

  • Manage and follow stock data and tracking systems in accordance with Oxfam one tools and standard procedures.
  • Ensure that all goods are packed safely and segregated according to; their nature, their Donor code and the department they belong to.
  • Manage casual labour, organise their work and prepare payment.
  • Ensure receipt of items is in good order as described on the purchase order & requisition ensuring relevant technical advice for receiving goods of specific technical nature.
  • Ensure that each donor has a proper folder for all items movements under the same donor code.
  • Ensure that BIN CARDS, STOCK CARDS, STOCK REQUESTS, WAYBILLS and GRNs are properly maintained and used.
  • Organize the loading/unloading of store goods when dispatching to projects.
  • Carry out regular stock reconciliation and report of any discrepancy to the line manager.
  • Ensure all health, safety and security precautions by all people involved in the store.
  • Ensure the timely maintenance of the store building(s) and all equipment related to safe store keeping.
  • Ensure that there is no unauthorized access to the store and the store area is smoke free.
  • Follow Oxfam warehouse management policies and procedures in all steps of goods receiving and despatching.
  • Produces stock/warehouse management reports on monthly basis. However, weekly updates of stock reports must be provided.

Skills, experience and knowledge

Essential

  • Graduate with 2–3 years’ experience in warehouse and asset management. A combination of relevant training and experience may be considered in lieu, but not vice versa.
  • Previous experience in producing stock and assets report in English.
  • Proficient English (speaking, writing, reading).
  • Experience and/or demonstrable knowledge of procurement, warehouse, asset and distribution management.
  • Experience in working with multiple stakeholders, including local authorities, as well as experience working local communities.
  • Experience in staff management.
  • Attention to detail and excellent numeric accuracy.
  • Ability to keep clear and concise records.
  • Proven ability to manage competing tasks and to prioritise and produce high level output consistently.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work on own and within multi-cultural teams.
  • Excellent computer skills and ability/preparedness to quickly learn new systems and software. Good skills in excel, word and internet is essential.
  • Ability to plan with good organizational skills, including prioritisation and ability to work under pressure.
  • Initiative and ability to follow up on issues.
  • Good understanding on Cox’s bazar context.

Desirable

  • Previous work experience with Humanitarian organization
