Funding Manager

Our Team
You will be part of the Oxfam Office based in Cox’s Bazar. You will be part of the Funding team and will work closely across the different team including the finance team.
The Role:
The Funding Manager, working under direct supervision of the Funding Coordinator will ensure that Oxfam is able to maintain the quality and oversight of UN held contracts while adhering to UN donor compliance regulations and will lead on strategic engagement with UN agencies within the response portfolio.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for a dynamic person with UN fund management experiences, who can demonstrate willingness to learn and constantly develop professional skills. You should have great interpersonal skills, excellent computer skill and understanding of funding contributions and donor compliance in particular relating UN donors.
Essential
- University Education and/or substantial experience of working with INGO’s in the following specialisation: M&E, funding and/or programming;
- Demonstrable experience of planning for, securing and managing funds from UN agencies
- High level of analytical skills and critical thinking with the ability to research, analyse, and report
- Knowledge of Project Cycle Management with previous field experience
- Excellent written skills with proven ability to develop and present proposals and donor reports, for both internal and external audiences.
- Strong numeracy and financial skills, particularly in developing budgets, financial management/monitoring and reporting.
- Experience in capacity building; coaching and delivering training at an individual and
group level.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication and relationship skills with ability to influence external organisations and individuals and ability to work effectively with others in diverse team situations to achieve fundraising targets
- Information management and IT skills with attention to detail to develop and analyse donor budgets and financial reports; and to develop/maintain, and give guidance on electronic and manual contract management and reporting systems.
- Self-motivated, target-driven and a proactive approach to funding
- Ability to manage his/her time effectively.
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Gender knowledge and cultural sensitivity with a strong commitment and understanding of Oxfam's values and principles
Desirable
- Knowledge and / or experience of common Oxfam norms objects, standards and tools Knowledge of the Rohingya / Cox’s Bazar response
