Research And Advocacy Organization To Organize An International Conference On 'Rights, Responsibilities, Recognition: Towards A Durable Solution To The Rohingya Crises'


Oxfam employs more than six thousand people in 90 countries who share a commitment to work together to end poverty and suffering. Oxfam in Bangladesh is going to hire a consultant (national) for “research and advocacy organization to organize an international conference on 'rights, responsibilities, recognition: towards a durable solution to the rohingya crises'”. We are invitng for proposal from interested consultancy firm/ individual to undertake this assignment.

Background:
Oxfam is providing vital aid including clean water and food to Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh. So far, we’ve reached at least 266,000 people (and we are planning to reach 300,000). And in Rakhine, Myanmar we have been providing humanitarian aid including clean water and sanitation to close to 100,000 Rohingya who have been living in closed camps in Central Rakhine State for the past five years. We also run development projects designed to reduce poverty, including campaigning for land-ownership rights and supporting women to earn a fair living.  In both countries, we are also working with local organizations and refugee communities to tackle wider issues such as early marriage, abuse and assumptions about men and women's traditional roles –  including through women’s groups and musical performances.

OBJECTIVE
In view of the above, the specific objectives of the workshop are:

  • To review the current context
    Challenges towards longer term-solutions

SCOPE OF WORK
The Consultant will deliver the following outputs:

  • Full day conference in mutually agreeable venue attended by 120-130 guests
  • A transcript of the conference with name/designation/photo of each participant and verbatim what they said (from transcript recording) and translate to Bangla

Proposal submission Instruction:


The individual/firm must submit the following documents along with Technical & Financial Proposal (including VAT/TAX): The financial proposal should include 15% VAT ONLY. Oxfam will deduct 10% Income Tax at source from the agreed consultancy amount for national consultant and firms.

For Individual Consultant

  • Maximum 2 pages’ profile highlighting related assignment completed with client name, contract person and mobile number along with detailed CV;
  • TIN certificate and any other relevant document (if necessary).

For Consultancy Firm

  • Maximum 2 pages’ Firm profile highlighting related assignment completed with client name, contract person and mobile number;
  • Lead Consultant’s (who will lead the assignment) Maximum 2 pages CV highlighting related assignment completed, role in of the completed assignment;
  • Other Team members’ (who will involve in the assignment) one paragraph short CV highlighting related assignment completed and role;
  • Firm’s Certificate, TIN and VAT registration.
