Our Team

You will be part of the Oxfam Office based in Cox’s Bazar, but will also be supporting our field offices in Ukhia, Teknaf and our main office in Dhaka, and will be expected to travel frequently to those places. You will become part of a dynamic office with more than 200 colleagues.

The Role:

You will be working closely with the Humanitarian Program Coordinator and the rest of the Senior Management team, but will be expected to be able to work independently. Additionally, you will be working with the Security Focal points from each of our offices, to coordinate everyday implementation

  • High level of verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on a clear and direct, easy to read written style.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, together with the capacity to remain calm under pressure and not lose sight of strategic priorities.
  • Contextual knowledge
  • Undergraduate or Master’s Degree in a related subject or relevant experience.
  • Proven influencing and negotiating skills including with actors in complex circumstances.
  • Sensitivity to cultural differences and the ability to work in a wide variety of colleagues of various backgrounds.
  • Experience managing security risks on a field level.
  • Knowledge of operational programming in the NGO sector.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to field offices at short notice and in sometimes-difficult circumstances.
  • Committed to Humanitarian principles and Oxfam principles
  • Excellent knowledge of English and Bengali in speaking and writing
  • A positive and outgoing attitude.
