Donor Compliance Officer


Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh

Job Type: Fixed Term

Salary & Benefits: BDT.  7,27,205 (13th months) per annum gross with other benefits e.g. medical for spouse and children, contributory Provident fund, gratuity, leave & Insurance etc.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a dynamic team player to provide contract Donor Contract Management (DCM) expertise and support to Oxfam in Bangladesh’s programmes, ensure its programmes are meeting contractual requirements and build proactive relationships with key donors. To managing existing significant processes, resolve diverse problems with impact in defined area, handle frequent internal/external negotiation, deploy to humanitarian responses programmes as and when required under specific for emergency funding.

Skills, Experience and Knowledge

  • In-depth knowledge of specific areas of work with post graduate preferably in Accounting/Finance/Project Management (E).
  • At least 3 years working experience with national and international NGOs or relevant organizations (E).
  • Experience working on programmes and projects delivered through partners/third-parties (E).
  • Strong ability and proven track record on donor contract management (E).
  • Clear knowledge and understanding about the national and international process of women’s movement, protocols, instruments which preserving and protecting women rights and entitlements (E).
  • Good communication, facilitation and representation skills.
  • Strong understanding of gender issues (E).
  • Experience of working with donors and their requirements. Has the ability to evaluate proposals and reports and make technical recommendations for improvement. Also, knowledge of Project Cycle Management, Log Frame Analysis and other programme development tools. (D)
  • Demonstrable budget management and analytical skills (E).
  • Strong MS Office and software based project management skills (E).
  • Experience with DFID, EU, DFAT and SIDA contracts (D).
  • Experience in providing advisory support to both senior managers and programme staff and good ability to facilitate learning and knowledge management (D).
  • Understanding of advocacy, campaigning and communications and how they contribute to achieving programme goals (D).
  • Strong writing, reporting, documentation and communications skills (D)
