Senior Programme Officer - MEAL

Salary & Benefits: BDT. 10,56,451 (13th months) per annum gross with other benefits e.g. medical for spouse and children, contributory Provident fund, gratuity, leave & Insurance etc.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a dynamic team player who will work as Senior MEAL Officer to Securing Rights of Women Domestic Workers in Bangladesh project (in brief: Securing Rights Project) aims to improve the well-being of women domestic workers by enabling them to access their rights to engage in “decent work” as defined by the International Labour Organization (ILO). The four-year project will build on the momentum created upon approval of the Domestic Worker Protection and Welfare Policy (2015), by Government of Bangladesh which recognizes domestic work as a profession and extends several rights and protections to domestic workers. The ultimate outcome for SRP is- Increased social and economic well-being for women domestic workers (DW) in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Direct report to : MEAL Coordinator

Technical Skills, Experience & Knowledge

  • Minimum of 3 years experience on MEAL in the field of development or disaster management projects
  • Masters in social science or relevant discipline
  • Good understanding of humanitarian context, empowering and advocacy issues in Bangladesh
  • Good critical thinking and clear understanding about the MEAL Framework , tools and indicator  setting evidence-based monitoring and evaluation frameworks and programmes, with emphasis on participatory and partnership-based MEAL approaches
  • Strong knowledge of IT applications and development – especially for MEAL
  • Familiarity with project cycle management, monitoring and evaluation
  • Organised and able to manage own time under guidance and direction from line-manager and matrix manager
  • Analytical ability to integrate gender and diversity issues within the MEAL framework.
  • Ability to work effectively with others, adaptable and flexible.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English and good report-writing skills.
