Project Coordinator – Securing Rights Of Domestic Workers

Salary & Benefits: BDT. 1722303 (13th months) per annum gross with other benefits e.g. medical for spouse and children, contributory Provident fund, gratuity, leave & Insurance etc.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a dynamic team player as Project Coordinator who will work for Securing Rights of Women Domestic Workers in Bangladesh project (in brief: Securing Rights Project) aims to improve the well-being of women domestic workers by enabling them to access their rights to engage in “decent work” as defined by the International Labour Organization (ILO). The four-year project will build on the momentum created upon approval of the Domestic Worker Protection and Welfare Policy (2015), by Government of Bangladesh which recognizes domestic work as a profession and extends several rights and protections to domestic workers. The ultimate outcome for SRP is- Increased social and economic well-being for women domestic workers (DW) in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

: Economic Justice Resilience Programme Manager     

Technical Skills, Experience & Knowledge:

  • In depth understanding of and extensive work experience (at least 5-7 years) on urban set up, informal economic sector, skill/service market and service product development.
  • Master’s Degree in any Social Science or related field of Study.
  • Proven track record in Project Management of multi-year, large scale donor funded projects from design and implementation.
  • Significant experience of and proven ability to build, sustain, advocate and manage strong partnerships and work collaboratively with a wide variety of organizations including Government agencies, private sector, academia, donor, civil societies and NGOs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a highly-developed ability to work in multicultural settings and with community groups of varying backgrounds; developed capacity for tact, diplomacy and negotiation.
  • Mature knowledge and a broad understanding of development sector particularly of labour/skill service market and
  • Demonstrated commitment to mainstreaming gender and diversity equity issues as well as a commitment to neutrality & impartiality.
  • Solid understanding in developing and implementing Results Based Management (RBM) based M&E framework.
  • Experience in capacity assessment, baseline, market assessment, project planning, review and capacity building process.
  • In-depth knowledge on legal and institutional framework related to urban development.
  • Robust understanding of advocacy, campaigning, promotion and communications and how they contribute to achieving programme goals.
  • Demonstrated good experience of developing high quality documentation such as project progress reports, human-interest stories, process documentation, IEC etc.
  • Willingness to work flexibly and to travel in difficult geographical locations at in country and abroad.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise well and commitment to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in written and oral English and Bangla
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, facilitation and representation skills
  • Proven experience of using basic MS Office application (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
