Senior Programme Officer- SWITCH Asia Project

Job Type: Fixed Term

Salary & Benefits: BDT.  10,564,51 (13th months) per annum gross with other benefits e.g. medical for spouse and children, contributory Provident fund, gratuity, leave & Insurance etc.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a dynamic team player who will dedicated to   contribute   in   effective   and   result   focused implementation of the project aim to make transformative change in market and promote use of alternative bricks and other green construction technology among producer and consumer for wider replication. The immediate purpose of the position is to maintain the current mandate and commitments to the partners, donors and ensure its effective & efficient delivery.

:     Urban Manager

Technical Skills, Experience & Knowledge:

  • Post graduate education on relevant subject and working experience of project on sustainable use of green construction material and technology.
  • In-depth knowledge of policy, legal and institutional framework related to use and market system    of green construction material including alternative bricks.
  • Proven ability to work with alliances, engage in institutional relationships and coordinate with diverse set of institutions (GO / NGOs) at   national and local level on enhance understanding and use of   green construction material and related technology.
  • Proven experience of developing project implementation guideline and build capacity of partner to ensure quality implementation in line with project plan.
  • Experienced in monitor the project progress, develop high quality MEL report and provide feedbacks.
  • Recommendations / suggestions to the project team for effective project delivery.
  • Experience   in   producing   high   quality   documentation   on   human   interest   stories   /   case   studies   &   other communication material, external narrative donor reports and ensure financial report demonstrating processes, achievements, learning and challenges throughout the project implementation for external & internal use.
  • Excellent command on writing in both English and Bangla language, Ability to present the document briefly but self-explanatory.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, facilitation and representation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge on linking DRR with sustainable use of green construction, right base approach, consumer attitude towards alternative bricks, eco-labelling of  brick  production  technology    ,  clear  analysis  on  social/ economic/ gender power dynamics from community to national level.
  • Advanced level command on using computer, internet and online database system.  Ability to work in team with minimum supervision and to influence others.
  • Willingness to travel in remote geographical area.
