People & Culture Officer


Location: Cox’s Bazar & Teknaf, Bangladesh, No. of Position: 02
Job Type: Fixed Term (up to December 31, 2018)

Salary & Benefits: BDT. 727,205 gross per annum (13 months) with other benefits e.g. medical for spouse and
children, contributory Provident fund, gratuity, leave & Insurance etc.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The purpose of this role is to assists in all responsibilities related to People & Culture department’s operation.

The post holder reports to People & Culture Coordinator.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCE:

Essential

  • MBA (HRM)/Masters in any subject with PGDHRM
  • An understanding of HR issues relevant to emergencies work
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Human Resources Management and Development, staff performance
    and demonstrable interest in personal development
  • Computing skills, including knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheets and database management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, an approachable working style, sensitivity to the needs of
    others
  • Willingness to travel to sub-offices within Country and Outside
  • Show respect to confidentiality and advise staff on professional HR issues
  • Ability to communicate, written and orally, in English and Bangla
  • Ability to work in a systematic and well-organized manner, with high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong understanding on Gender and Diversity

Desirable

  • Ability to work within a team or independently (often unsupervised)
  • Ability to model Oxfam’s desired organizational culture (making a difference, innovative, collaborative, accountable, cost effective) with staff
  • Sympathy towards Oxfam GB’s aims, beliefs and objectives
