PROCUREMENT OFFICER


Location: Cox’s Bazar (Ukhiya), Job Type: Temporary, Fixed Term (up to December 31, 2018)
[Only Bangladeshi nationals are eligible to apply]

Salary & Benefits: BDT. 727,205 per annum (13 months) gross with other benefits e.g. medical for spouse and children, contributory Provident fund, gratuity, leave & Insurance etc.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are urgently looking for a dynamic team player who will work with the Emergency Response team under Oxfam in Bangladesh to ensure Oxfam has the management, technical and logistical capacity to scale up and to respond rapidly to Rohingya Emergency Response Programme and also responsible for managing & delivering the specific and given Procurement functions smoothly and enabling environment for running the operations of Emergency Response Programme.
The post holder reports to Procurement Manager.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCE:

  • Experience in procurements and well understanding of Bangladesh Govt Public Procurement regulations.
  • Minimum 03 (three) years INGOs working experience in logistics function and have adequate knowledge in logistics system.
  • Minimum graduate from Business Discipline, MBA or equivalent will be preferred.
  • Good working knowledge in English is essential, fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Excellent coordination, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent skill in Computer MS office (MS Ward, MS Excel) applications.
  • Experience in document handling and archiving
  • Previous work experience with Humanitarian organization
  • Eager to listen to people and respect to others
  • Excellent computer skills and ability/preparedness to quickly learn new systems and software.
  • Ability to plan with good organizational skills, including prioritisation and ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and within team
  • Good understanding on Cox’s bazar context.
  • Strong understanding on Gender and Diversity.
