Salary & Benefits: BDT. 727,205 per annum (13 months) gross with other benefits e.g. medical for spouse and children, contributory Provident fund, gratuity, leave & Insurance etc.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are urgently looking for a dynamic team player who will work with the Emergency Response team under Oxfam in Bangladesh.

Design, Develop and Deliver WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) programme & contribute to plan and implement emergency WASH activities in Rohingya response plan in coordination with PHP colleagues ensuring quality at each level within the project time frame.

The post holder reports to PHE Team Leader.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCE:

• A suitable qualification in the areas of WASH related engineering (Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, WASH Engineering).
• At least 2 years experience in WASH programming including public health engineering
• Excellent experience in developing design, drawing, BoQs, water quality testing & monitoring of engineering activities.
• Good understanding and use of humanitarian international codes of conduct and minimum standards, especially the Red Cross Code and SPHERE standards.
• Experience in working with partner organizations, and in particular on participatory approach and strengthening capacity around project cycle management.
• Strong team working skills and ability to motivate and facilitate the work to others.
• Ability to work with different teams and under matrix management
• Experience in promoting water rights and water governance perspectives at local contexts
• Demonstrated experience of integrating gender, Person with Disability, marginalized and diversity issues in public health programme activities.
• Demonstrated experience in establishing and implementing M&E systems for public engineering.
• Training/ counterpart development skills.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Contract/contractor management, tendering, estimation- experience
• Market based WASH approaches and community engagements
• Clear understanding on gender and diversity issues.
• Strong negotiation and leadership skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and in response to changing needs.
• Ability to travel and to work in difficult and emergency circumstances
