Oxfam in Bangladesh is going to hire a consultant (national) for developing modules and conducting training to Fish nursery owner & patil pati of Chetona Fish Hatchary in Kurigram. We are invitng for proposal from interested consultancy firm/ individual to undertake this assignment.

Objective of the Assignment :
Under the EDP, Oxfam in Bangladesh is going to provide some technical support and knowledge on fish farming, fish nursery management and so on to the enterprise as well as to the fish farmer linked with the respective enterprise. This support will help to increase the production of the hatchery.So, the main objective of the Consultancy service is to develop different training module and provide training based on the module to the selected fish nursery owner and fingerling traders (patil pati). This assignment will focus on the increase of production of the fingerling traders (patil pati), capacity development on nursery management, entrepreneurship development and business development of the fish farmers especially women fish farmers. Apart from production increase the training design should also focus on the increasing women’s participation in the fish nursery business, women’s economic empowerment.The objectives of the assignment are to develop module and conduct training on some specific issues and also use the local resources and resource persons. This will comprise:

  • Review the existing module of different department of Government, INGOs and develop different training module on :
  • Fish Hatchery- increase the Production and decrease the mortality rate of fish
  • Fish Nursery management
  • Entrepreneurship development and business capacity development of fish nursery owner
  • Fingerling Management of Patil Pati.
  • Arrange and conduct different training based on the module in Kurigram by using local resources and resource persons.

Proposal submission Instruction:


The individual/firm must submit the following documents along with Technical & Financial Proposal (including VAT/TAX): The financial proposal should include 15% VAT ONLY. Oxfam will deduct 10% Income Tax at source from the agreed consultancy amount for national consultant and firms.

For Individual Consultant

  • Maximum 2 pages profile highlighting related assignment completed with client name, contract person and mobile number along with detailed CV;
  • TIN certificate and any other relevant document (if necessary).

For Consultancy Firm

  • Maximum 2 pages Firm profile highlighting related assignment completed with client name, contract person and mobile number;
  • Lead Consultant’s (who will lead the assignment) Maximum 2 pages CV highlighting related assignment completed, role in of the completed assignment;
  • Other Team members’ (who will involve in the assignment) one paragraph short CV highlighting related assignment completed and role;
  • Firm’s Certificate, TIN and VAT registration.
