Senior Programme Finance Officer - Partnership


Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh

Job Type: Fixed term

Salary & Benefits: BDT.  10,564,51 (13th months) per annum gross with other benefits e.g. medical for spouse and children, contributory Provident fund, gratuity, leave & Insurance etc.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

To provide a proactive, efficient and effective partner financial management service in Oxfam in Bangladesh and ensures financial systems and procedures are working efficiently and effectively, and that they are being adhered to. The Senior Finance Officer (Partnership) will support country program works with partner organizations ranging from local NGOs, private sector actors, community based organizations (CBOs) and International NGOs in different parts of the country. Sr. Finance Officer plays a central role in the management of relationships and Building capacity of partners & sub grantees in the Oxfam in Bangladesh Partnership Programme. The successful candidate will be based in Dhaka but with frequent travel to field sites. Sr. finance officer will also work closely with programme teams in ensuring programme objectives are achieved.

Technical Skills, Experience & Knowledge:

Essential

  • Educational qualification: CA/ACCA/ICMA (part qualified)/ MBA/ M.Com from reputed educational institutions.
  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in providing a whole range of financial services to an organisation including direct involvement on partnership financial monitoring.
  • Ideally with at least 4 years in International NGO
  • Proven experience on NGOs financial monitoring
  • Proven experience on partners reporting and capacity building
  • Familiar with Govt. and Donor compliance including internal and external audit
  • Experience on conducting internal and external audit and/or investigative procedures
  • Excellent oral and written communication skill

Desirable

  • Ability to understand and implement the government tax & vat laws.
  • Analytical and planning skill.
  • Proven knowledge of computerised systems and demonstrable experience of working with computerised accounting packages and spreadsheets
  • Adaptable and Flexible.
  • Manages own time under guidance and direction from supervisor and meet the deadlines.
