Sr. Innovation Officer in Public Health Promotion / Community Engagement

Location: Cox’s bazar, Bangladesh, Job Type: Fixed Term (up to June 30, 2018)

Salary & Benefits: BDT. 1,056,451 per annum (13 months) gross with other benefits e.g. medical for spouse and children, contributory Provident fund, gratuity, leave & Insurance etc.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a dynamic team player who will support the Public Health Promotion Team members across different project locations to document their work, analyse the findings, capitalise learning and develop initiatives for experience sharing - with the community, among the technical and wider programme team. This work involves direct field support to capture real-time information and learning, the design of appropriate mechanisms to document and analyse the findings as well as the support to capture and communicate the learning across various channels (within the organisation, with the community and the external coordination platforms).

The post holder reports to PHP Team Leader / Coordinator.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCE:

Essential

  • Knowledge of community development and research.
  • Graduate in Public Health and/or Sociology and/or Community Development.
  • At least two years’ practical experience in community development programs.
  • Experience in humanitarian response with practical research activities is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to humanitarian principles and values and motivate others towards them
  • Good decisions making skills with limited support.
  • Strong ability to analyse a variety of information and document learning.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Solution-orientated and creative.
  • Plan, prioritise and perform well under pressure.
  • Confidently represent organisational beliefs and values
  • Strong interpersonal and team skills and proven ability to be flexible in demanding situations
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Computer skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Willingness to learn and share information with others;
