Finance Officer

Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh, Job Type: Fixed Term (2 years)
[Only Bangladeshi nationals are eligible to apply]

Salary & Benefits: BDT.  727,205 (13 months) per annum gross with other benefits e.g. medical for spouse and children, contributory Provident fund, gratuity, leave & Insurance etc.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a dynamic team player who will be responsible to provide a proactive, efficient and effective financial management service to Oxfam in Bangladesh and ensures financial systems and procedures are working efficiently and effectively, and that they are being adhered to.

The post holder will report to Finance Manager.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCE:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in providing a whole range of financial services to an organisation, ideally with at least 2 years in International NGO.
  • Educational qualification: CA/ICMA (part qualified)/ MBA/ M.Com.
  • Proven experience on finance management of ADB, ECHO, EU, UN Agency, GAC and others
  • Ability to understand and implement the government tax & vat laws.
  • Proven knowledge of computerised systems and demonstrable experience of working with computerised accounting packages and spreadsheets
  • Excellent oral and written communication skill
