Senior Government Relations Officer

Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh, Job Type: Fixed Term (until 31 December 2018)

Salary & Benefits: BDT.  10,56,451 (13 months) per annum gross with other benefits e.g. medical for spouse and children, contributory Provident fund, gratuity, leave & Insurance etc.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Oxfam is looking for a dynamic team player who will ensure the smooth operation of Cox’s Bazar response programme. Particularly focusing on Project approval from NGOAB (FDs), Fund Release, Reporting, Visa / Work Permit et

He /she will be reportable to Business Services Director.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCE:

  • Experience in NGO Bureau/liaison work and project approval process
  • Master’s in Public Administration or other relevant discipline with at least 5 years of relevant experience in the implementation of Govt. relations and /or development work with INGO / NGO/ or Government
  • Good working knowledge of English and Bangla is essential, fluency in written and spoken English and Bangla.
  • Good working experience on developing humanitarian response projects for NGOAB (FD-6,7)
  • Computer literate - word plus excel skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in document handling
  • Eager to listen to people and respect to others
  • Strong understanding on Gender and Diversity
