Partnership Manager

Posting: Cox’s Bazar
Job Type: (Temporary. Fixed Term) up to 31st December 2018 Initially with possible extensions

Salary & Benefits: BDT. 2,171,400 per annum (13 months) gross with other benefits as per Oxfam policy

We are urgently looking for a dynamic team player who will work with the Emergency Response team under Oxfam in Bangladesh.

The position will lead Oxfam’s engagement with civil society and partner organizations in Cox’s Bazar. The post holder will work closely with national NGOs/civil society organizations on delivery of effective humanitarian assistance as well as technical capacity building and organizational development. The Partnership Manager is leading on the Humanitarian Partnership Strategy, carries out wider partner mappings, and manages a Capacity Development programme. It is expected that the programme will use innovative and holistic methods of capacity development. The Programme Manager will work closely with the rest of the Cox’s Bazar and Dhaka programme to ensure that the partners are integrated into the Oxfam programme.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCE:

  • Post Graduate Degree or Degree with equivalent work experience from a recognized University/college in Humanitarian Assistance or Capacity Building or any other related area that can bring added value to the job;
  • Relevant international experience of 7 - 10 years for Post graduate holders, or 10 years + for degree holders, in humanitarian work with partners, preferably in an international NGO/operational UN agency/equivalent;
  • Extensive experience in partner capacity development role at senior level;
  • Knowledge and understanding of the principles and standards of programme quality in emergencies;
  • Experience of designing and implementing gendered humanitarian interventions;
  • Excellent communicator with strong written and reporting skills, and an excellent ability to influence verbally to persuade with diplomacy and tact;
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a cross-cultural setting with a number of long distance working relationships across time zones;
  • Experience in fast-paced and difficult emergency contexts;
  • Adaptable and able to work under pressure in a demanding and fast-moving environment;
  • Initiative and motivation to work independently and develop solutions to problems. Highly flexible in style with the ability to produce creative and pragmatic solutions to complex problems;
  • Evidence of professional excellence in related sectors (WASH, EFSVL, gender in emergency, protection);
  • Proven experience in working in refugee programmes;
  • Varied international experience;
  • Fluent in English writing and speaking to a professional level.
