OSJI Joint Venture

OSJI JV, a Joint Venture of four Japanese Multinational Companies (Obayashi Corp., Shimizu Corp., JFE Steel Corp. & IHI Corp.) for the Construction of Kanchpur, Meghna, Gumti 2nd Bridges & Rehabilitation of Existing Bridges, a Project of The Roads and Highways Department (RHD) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), is currently seeking candidates for the following post:

Summary of Responsibilities
Responsible for Safety Supervisor: Supervises day-to-day activities within a particular construction workplace. The responsibility to eliminate or control any known or potential hazards related to the workplace. Or Monitor workplaces frequently to identify unsafe or unhealthful conditions Take prompt action to correct hazardous conditions If a serious hazard is detected take immediate interim action to safeguard employees Encourage employees to report unsafe or unhealthful conditions Seek suggestions from employees for improvement of workplace conditions Ensures that workers make use of necessary protective equipment like helmets, hand gloves welding shades etc., where and when necessary Investigates accidents and tackle their causes Takes note of workers’ safety concerns and immediately acts on them Arranges training programs on safety measures within the workplace Develops plans for emergency procedures with the consent of the manager(s) of the workplace Receives and acts on reports regarding safety concerns from workers within the construction site/workplace Serves as a link between workers and top management when it comes to issues that have to do with the safety and proper organization of the workplace Introduces measures that will help curb accidents within the workplace.
Position Requirements
Experience	1. 5 to 10 years working experience in Foreign Infrastructure Development Companies /Construction Companies preferred.	Educational Qualifications	At least Bachelor Degree. (Any Reputed University)
Experience	2. Working as Safety Supervisor for minimum 3 years in present company.	Language Skills	Must be Fluent in English. Knowledge of other languages is a plus.

Remuneration
Gross Salary	Negotiable	Work Hours	8:00 – 17:00 (Saturday- Thursday)
