Legal Advisor (Male / Female)

Job Description / Responsibility

  • To appear, conduct cases at the different courts of Bangladesh on behalf of the Company.
  • To appoint lawyers for conducting the cases of the Company and to monitor those cases.
  • To file cases on behalf of the Company with the police station or with any other court, tribunal and concern authority.
  • To serve legal notices upon the clients of the company to recover the dues/installments of the company.
  • To draft and file the cases on behalf of the Company and to defend the cases filed against the Company.
  • To visit, appear any site/office/region/client of the company to solve the legal matters and for the purpose of recovery of the dues/installments of the company.
  • To vet and prepare various bi-lateral and multi-lateral agreements, contract, MoU, undertaking, legal notice.
  • To draft new agreements, reviewing existing agreements, issue necessary documents to meet the requirements of laws.
  • To work with a legal team of the Company and to report to the MD/Chairman of the Company.
  • Coordinate with Legal Consultant for better understanding.
  • Works on legal matters such as new agreements, reviewing existing agreements, issue necessary documents to meet the requirements of multinational laws and maintain the international companies correct legal position.
  • Maintains custody of legal documents of the Company.
  • Scrutinize the legal documents and ensure that everything is in accordance with approved and prescribed formats.
  • To advise the Company on potential and actual legal/litigation risks through pro-active risk analysis.
  • To coordinate with HR on receiving employment contracts to facilitate the recruitment or dismissal of employees and to ensure its conformity to Bangladesh labor law.
  • Follow up and coordinate all the required activities such as renewals, expiration notice, amendments etc. as per the terms and conditions of contracts, agreements, or any other legal instruments in an absolute timely manner.
  • Keep liaison with different regulatory authorities, government offices, and other relevant bodies.
  • Should have clear knowledge on land law and prepare analysis reports to sell or purchase any land for the Company.
  • Strong knowledge on land mutation, vested properties, land registration and transfer process.
  • Coordinate and correspond with all concerned internal and external stakeholders on company legal matters.
  • Provide and interpret legal information and disseminate appropriate legal requirements to the stakeholders.
  • Conduct and monitor different legal matters associated with company business when required.
  • Review different internal policies and procedures in order to be complaint with all legal and regulatory frameworks; and maintain check-lists to ensure that compliance`s are met the same.
  • Prepare maintain and update compliance dash board/report for the Management.

Educational Requirements

  • LLB/LLM/Bar at Law with scholastic result from any reputed Institutions.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 10ear(s) of experience in similar position.
