Liaison and Research Officer

The Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA) and Nordic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) have collaborated to form an Energy Efficiency Engagement.

Under this engagement, an Energy Efficiency Secretariat (EES) is to be set up in Dhaka at the Nordic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI).  The secretariat’s function will be to gather information about energy efficiency initiatives and raise awareness on energy efficiency. The objective is to give members of the NCCI and other stakeholders easy access to professional advice and guidance on energy efficiency and also relevant funding for this.

The EES will be a publically available database and the activities will be promoted through press releases, publications and events.

EES is looking to hire an experienced Liaison and Research Officer, who can assist the Business Coordinator and Secretariat Director in promoting the EES and building the energy efficiency database as well as working in cooperation with energy auditors. You will analyze energy audit results, policies and regulations in order to find the best solutions for our clients.

Qualifications:

• You have at least 3-4 years of relevant full time work experience – preferably from another NGO (development organization) or energy sector
• You hold an MBA or MSc in engineering, economics or other relevant degree
• Fluency in English and Bangla (both oral and written)
• You are proficient in MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), database management/ CRM software and have a high level of general computer literacy
• You are experienced in both building and operating an online database
