Position: Resource Mobilization Manager

Job Responsibilities

  • Support in raising funds for our cause and regularly meet or surpass fundraising targets.
  • Searching potential donors to gain insight into needs, beliefs and donation habits to understand how to position our organization to them.
  • Study and analyze the funding strategies of different donors and ascertain ways how best they suit with the mandate and programmes of NGO Forum.
  • Assist in brainstorming and creating new methods to raise funds for the organization.
  • Leverage technology and social media where possible to improve fundraising activities.
  • Maintain complete and orderly database records of donors and manage regular donor communications.
  • Build upon existing donor relationships and form new donor relationships on a regular basis.
  • Collaborate with other organizations and groups within the sector to build partnerships and enhance fundraising activities.
  • Explore and analyze, through internet and newspapers, donor calls for funding applications including tenders, expressions of interest and requests for proposals, from the public and private sector. 
  • Prepare documents like concept notes and position papers including letters/correspondences relating to organizational resource mobilization initiatives.
  • Assist in developing resource mobilization strategies for the organization.
  • Liaison with private agencies, corporate house, government and other like-mined organizations to explore potential collaboration and forming consortium for joint venture Program and partnership.
  • Undertake follow-up initiatives with the potential team members for proposed development and resource mobilization. 
  • Keep up spirit to accomplish the assigned tasks as and when necessary for the greater interest of the organization.
  • Take the Lead role in developing project proposals, Concept Notes and EOIs.

Additional Requirements

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience directly working in fundraising and proposal development or similar types of roles. A proven track record in raising grant funds including from large institutional or donors.
  • Highly skilled in writing project proposal and managing grant application process.
  • Proven experience in writing proposal, PCP, EOI for the UN Bodies, EU, DFID, JICA, Work Bank, Asian Development Bank, Aus-Aid and for different international donors.
  • Ability to work under stress and strain.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Good morale value with ethical commitment.
  • Well behaved, convincing & positive attitude.
  • Willing to travel frequently anywhere in Bangladesh for the interest of the organization.
  • Sound knowledge in computer operation.

Employment Status: Regular

Educational Requirements

  • Masters in Social Sciences/ English/ Development Studies/ International Relation/ Environmental Science/ Public Health/ Anthropology/ Gender and Development or any other relevant disciplines from recognized university.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 3 to 5 year(s) on the relevant activities
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO, Development Agency

  • Age at most 40 years (but for the highly competent it would be flexible)

Job Location: Dhaka

Salary: Tk. 85,000/- to 1,00,000/-
