Bangladesh Liaison Office

Overview

Next Sourcing is a wholly owned subsidiary of Next PLC, UK.

Our Bangladesh office was established in 2010 and this year we expect an annual turnover in excess of $80 Min. We currently source and supply a mix of woven, knits (jersey) and true knit (sweater) products for Women’s, Men’s and Children’s wear divisions at Next.

Our Uttara office provides a fast moving, dynamic working environment for our team of over 78 local and expatriate employees. 

The Role

Our Senior Fabric Technologist (SFT) is a key member of our Fabric Team and is responsible for all aspects of Fabric within our office, from development through to finishing for all departments.  

The SFT’s responsibilities include the following:

• Ensuring all ethical and legal requirements are met
• Controlling internal and 3rd testing
• Maintain wear & wash trails
• Manage critical path dates
• Prioritize workloads and meet the dead lines
• Customer service and communications through phone calls, e-mails, video-conferencing and personal meetings.

The Persons

We’re looking for a high caliber individual with a proven track record in a similar role. Key attributes include the following:

• Minimum 3 years experience in similar senior role
• Technical Textile Qualification
• Strong understanding of all processes on woven & knitted fabric, from yarn to finishing inclusive of laundry processes.
• Previous experience working with mid market UK retailers 
• Strong communication skills, including good written and spoken English.
• Can demonstrate the ability to work under pressure in an organized and disciplined environment.
• Positive attitude with a mind for quality and improving working practice.
• Hardworking, honest and trust worthy.
