Duty Station: Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide enhanced medical services to the Rohingyas at the refugee camp in Cox’s Bazar.
- Ensure/checkup status of patients with suggestion and prescription to patients.
- Ensure distribution of free medicines to the Rohingyas apart from other medical services.
- Ensure standard Health check-up, vulnerable disease identification, treatment and follow up.
- Assess the conditions of each individual patient & provide necessary medical management.
- Help to prevent the outbreak of infectious disease through community outreach activities.
- Treating patients, and training refugees as Community Health Workers.
- Facilitate referrals and assisted transportation of critical cases to functioning secondary health facilities or hospitals when required in accordance with organization mandate and procedures directly or through health partners.
- Enter medical information and other details into health databases while maintaining confidentiality.
- Maintain record of patients including a picture of the patient conditions, investigations required advice and treatment, implementing these and communicating these facts to the responsible person and report to the management.
- Supervise the management of the medicine stock, the monitoring of drug consumption and the preparation of medical drugs orders in collaboration with the medical camp staff.
- Coordinate with all the other medical teams from different organizations.
- Liaise with local offices of UNHCR, IOM, Red Cross, Red Crescent and other international partners to promote Muslim Hands interventions and attract their technical and financial support to the project.
- Capacity building of other clinical staff including nurses and midwives.
- Take part in training opportunities.
- Any other duty as assigned by the supervisor.

Educational Requirements
- MBBS with 1 year internship and up-to-date registration from BMDC.

- Both males and females are allowed to apply
- The candidate should have a proven track record of hands on experience in treating and prescribing patients. Doctors having higher qualification will be given preference.
- Experience working with Rohingya refugee, understanding and speaking in local dialect in Ukhia Zone and knowledge of Rohingya language would be an added advantage.
- Passion to work for the people with disabilities from the poorer community.
- Attitude to serve for extended period.
