Muslim Hands International, Bangladesh is an INGO registered with the Bureau of NGO Affairs since 1995. Our donor Muslim Hands is an international relief and development NGO, established in 1993 in UK with partners in nearly forty countries, carrying out short and long-term projects in emergency relief, educational and vocational training, orphan sponsorship, medical care and safe water. Muslim Hands is working for Rohingya refugees from the beginning of influx since 25th August. At present the organization is working in multiple sectors for Rohingyas like WASH, health, shelter, food, education etc. Muslim Hands is going to hire HR Officer for its Cox's Bazar office.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintains organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; recommending changes.
  • Prepares employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs.
  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource organizational requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings.
  • Collect monthly national staff timesheet, check and maintain time keeping, leave reports
  • Liaise with other internal units/offices on HR related matters, i.e. payroll, contracts, etc. and provide necessary information in order to enable timely HR services.
  • Perform general HR queries and follow up actions, to ensure consistent and high-quality HR services are delivered to clients;
  • Supervise the contractual status of all staff on various appointments; and monitor within grade service increment schedules and ensure the timely preparation and issuance of contract renewals and personnel action forms;
  • Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
  • Maintains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current records. Draft various HR documentation required for the specific area of work (e.g. employment contracts, transfer letters, training-related documents, experience certificates, salary certificates etc.) ensuring accuracy and meeting established deadlines.
  • Check and maintain personnel files for all staff, ensuring all documentation is complete and maintain and update confidential personnel information and documents, and ensure relevant documents are kept in their respective files.
  • Maintains human resource staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees
  • Maintains human resource staff job results by counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring and appraising job results.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Employment Status: Contractual

Educational Requirements

  • University degree (Bachelor degree or equivalent) and/or Post Graduate Diploma in human resources management. Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in relevant subject is preferable.

Experience Requirements

  • At least 2 to 3 year(s)

Additional Requirements

  • Knowledge of general HR administrative work practices and methods, gained through relevant technical training and experience.
  • Good communication skills and basic understanding of HR principles and their application in order to respond to and resolve general HR queries.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with a wide range of individuals in order to provide a high quality support service.
  • Ability to collate and compile relevant data from a variety of sources in order to produce periodic reports for supervisor(s).
  • Ability to monitor and record personnel files and documentation in an organized manner and in line with compliance standards.
  • Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Bangla.
