Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF) is a non-governmental organization supporting human rights and governance initiatives, invites application from Bangladeshi nationals for the following positions:
Coordinator- Resource Mobilization
Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinator- Resource Mobilization will assist MJF management to mobilize funds and resources in order to achieve sustainability and reduce dependence on any single donor. He/she will have the following responsibilities:
- Developing, implementing and monitoring fundraising strategies, that includes yearly targets to meet the costs of the current and future programmes;
- Scanning the environment to identify potential donors within Bangladesh and abroad.
- Conducting surveys and research on potential donors/partners such as trusts, foundations, companies and high net worth individuals, etc.,
- Developing, managing and updating Friends of MJF databases to record their contacts and preference information; Maintaining a network of corporate contacts and effectively managing and maximizing these relationships;
- Facilitating co-financing opportunities for partner organizations;
- Developing annual work plans based on the approved strategy and if needed, preparing income and expenditure budgets for each fundraising initiatives;
- Developing and coordinating web-based fundraising, if needed;
- Take the lead in writing project proposals
- Organizing events for partnership building between implementers and potential partners;
- Sensitizing and training team members on fund raising and communications skills and strategy.
Qualification:
- Advanced university degree in any subject of Social Sciences or Business Administration
Experience:
- Minimum 15 years experience of working in development sector with five years demonstrated experience in developing fundraising strategy and institutional fundraising;
- Substantial experience in fund raising, public relations, as well as in managing communications for a large organization.
- Applicants with prior experience of working with Civil Society, private sector,and philanthropic organizations shall be at advantage;
- In-depth exposure to the use of various media platforms such as print, electronic/ online, and social media, for communication and brand building is desirable;
- Experience in grants management, monitoring, assessments and reviews, is desirable;
Skills and Competencies:
- Proven ability in developing and maintaining close relationships with multi-level stake holders and partners.
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills;
- Good knowledge and experience in handling of web-based management systems;
- Strong team player, with the ability to work in a collaborative and consultative manner;
- Fluency in written and spoken Bangla and English
Remuneration- Attractive Salary package will be offered for the deserving candidate for both the positions
The position is based in Dhaka with minimum 30% of time travel outside of Dhaka.
