POSITION SUMMARY

Customer Support Engineers support the Operation and Maintenance of MHPS Gas Turbines, and the accessory systems. The Customer Support Engineers are first contact points for problem resolution of our customers and engaged with the customers to ensure reliability, availability and safety of the operating assets. This position will be responsible for assisting Service Project Manager and Engineers in Japan for various Customer Support Engineering and field service activities.

1. Customer Service
  • Travel to customer locations regularly and report the condition of units and troubles (if any) to MHPS.
  • Support the Operation and Maintenance of MHPS gas turbines and the accessory systems.
  • Escalate issues as required acting as the liaison between local plant and MHPS to drive specific technical resolution and to help engineering identify, drive corrective actions.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers to make customer technical and field service issues/requirements understood and addressed in a timely manner.
  • Support for root cause analysis of technical issues.
  • Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
  • Provide technical support for sales and services proposal activities to MHPS local office and Headquarter.
  • Support for management of local plant inventory control.
  • Support smooth order transaction for maintenance planning.
  • To give first aid service to customer experiences technical trouble.
  • Respond to customer requests for technical issue resolution, using technical product knowledge and analytical skills while adhering to sound engineering principles, standards, practices, procedures.
  • Prepare technical presentations for Customers ensuring the timely communication of significant issues or developments.
  • Develop proactive working procedures for future work efficiency.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education level and/or relevant experience(s)
  • Bachelor (University degree) in Mechanical or Electrical engineering
  • Advanced University degree is preferable
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience, Gas Turbines or heavy duty rotating equipment, and the accessory systems
Knowledge and skills
  • Proficiency in English and Bengali for writing and communications skills
  • High level of negotiation skills, contracting expertise.
  • Skill to Interpret Drawing & Data Sheet
  • Knowledge on instrumentations and control systems is preferable
Other requirements (licenses, certifications, specialized training, physical or mental abilities required)
  • High Communication skill
  • Flexibility to travel within and outside of Bangladesh.
