Position: Assistant Service Manager
Metrohm Middle East Bangladesh is the Liaison office of Metrohm AG, Switzerland supporting customers in Bangladesh. We are looking for a suitable candidate to join our team based at Dhaka to reinforce our support team and ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- B.Tech. / M. Sc. in Electronics, Instrumentation, or related fields
- Minimum 5 years’ hands on experience in servicing Analytical instruments and/or electronic equipment, based on Chromatography / Spectroscopy techniques
- Proven knowledge of analog electronics, high voltage circuitry, laser technology and analytical instrumentation related techniques
- Excellent customer focus with ability to reliably respond to inquiries, communicate and interact with scientists/ QA /QC /R&D managers
- Strong English writing & communication skills is a must, with an ability to communicate complex technical issues in an easy to understand manner
- Working knowledge of computers systems, networking, hardware and software.
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to work independently, prioritize, multi-task, follow through, and meet deadlines within an entrepreneurial and customer-focused work environment.
- Ability and willingness to travel as required
Responsibilities:
- Build up a competent support team – for service and applications.
- Responsible for managing all aspects of Post sales customer relationship management and service support including installation, repairs, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, training on instruments and application support.
- Organize and prioritize schedule in accordance with customer requirements to determine needs for immediate attention, onsite visits and remote assistance.
- Independently troubleshoot instrument onsite or via remote diagnostic software.
- Responsible for service contracts and maintenance agreements with customers, and ensuring that the targets set by the management are reached.
- Maintenance of service and calibration tools at the office.
- Plan on resources / technical issues / spare parts / service tools
- Conduct regular team meetings for visit schedules, understand subordinates requirement and internal training needs.
- Communicate and work closely with service and support Centers.
- Perform other duties as requested by the management.
