Metal Plus Limited (MPL), a concern of Metal is one of the leading business organizations in telecom service management and Agri-machinery industry. Alongside it is also maintaining strong footprint in marketing diesel generators in Bangladesh. MPL mainly consist of two major divisions-Agri-machinery and Power Support Division. As a part of Power Support division currently MPL acts as Telecom Service Provider for ensuring power and other maintenance supports of major share of BTS of mobile operators’ like- Grameenphone (in major Divisional areas of Bangladesh), Banglalink and Robi. Besides, this division of MPL is engaged in selling world class TMTL (powered by Eicher/TMTL engines) and Energy (powered by Perkin engines) brands Diesel Generators in Bangladesh also.  Agri-machinery division of MPL is engaged in marketing Agri- machineries like- Eicher tractors, Maschiorotavators and other agri implements.  Now, MPL is in search of a very dynamic, energetic and farsighted leader who can lead its Power Support Division.   Details of this post are narrated below.

Position:General Manager and Head of Power Support Division of MPL

Job Description/ Responsibilities:

  • Managing, Guiding, Monitoring, Administering the BTS sites of various mobile operators like- GP and Banglalink etc. across the country and ensuring smooth, uninterrupted and standardized services as per Service Level Agreement with the respective mobile operators.
  • Planning, managing, guiding, monitoring, administering marketing and sale of diesel generators as per strategy set to achieve the yearly target.
  • Overall administrations of the Telecom Department including planning, organizing and managing smooth work flow.
  • Develop, implement and manage business strategies to achieve aggressive sales goals of telecom maintenance and diesel generators businesses.
  • Impact the profitability of the company through ensuring strategic and tactical management decisions and new business development results related to power support division businesses.
  • Support the overall process of management by creating corporate values and decision-making to ensure the organization maximizes its short, medium and long-term profitability.
  • Design, implement and facilitate annual marketing plan of generator products for the company.
  • Achieve quarterly and yearly revenue targets by setting departmental objectives and target according to overall business strategy.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
  • Understand and comply with company vision, mission and values.
  • Negotiating with mobile operators to bring out most optimized solution to support end-user and build up smooth transmission topologies.
  • Having Critical insight and operational excellence in running the telecom business.
  • Capable to lead the overall service & maintenance team for ensuring round the clock service support to customer in telecom BTS sites of the mobile operators’ partners.
  • Establishing and managing the operational cadence including reviews / forecasts, monthly and quarterly business performances and annual planning cycles.
  • Working with Telecom Vertical leadership on annual goals, budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes.
  • Receiving logs and addresses reports along with reported problems or complaints.
  • Managing and administrating devices and services of the department apart from maintaining inventory of the active service accounts and the equipment accounts.
  • Maintaining good liaison with Telecom operators’ partners.
  • Looking into billing related inquiries and solving of related disputes.
  • Generating statistical reports for the management as and when requested or ordered.

Educational Requirements:

  • B.Sc Engineering in Electrical/ Tele Communication/ Information Technology /Computer Science or related field from a reputed Public University/ Private Universities.
  • MBA in Marketing will be considered as added qualification.

Experience Requirements:

  • 12 to 15 year(s) in the Telecom Service Management field (Planning, Operation & Maintenance, Service/ support, Tele Communication etc.)

Additional Job Requirements:

  • Position for Corporate Office.
  • Hand on experience in operation, maintenance and troubleshooting as Head of Telecom Service. Have the ability to motivate and provide direction to a high-performing team as well as market-leading talent.
  • The incumbent must be willing to work hard possess challenge seeking attitude.
  • Good Communication skills.
  • Can do attitude.
