Mass-line Media Centre (MMC), a national, media based non-profit development organization based in Dhaka with project locations at grassroots areas since 1996, is implementing various programms focusing on RTI, public services, child rights, governance issues, gender issues as well as marginalized peoples’ rights and the issues that effects them for recovering their livelihoods options from productive public resources and services.

MMC is implementing Citizens’ Voice for Improved local Public Services, CVIPS project in governance domain since February 2011 with financial support of SDC. The goal of the project is to increase transparency, accountability and responsiveness in the provision of local public services-positively affecting peoples’ livelihood; especially poor people, women and disadvantaged groups in the community.

Monitoring and Reporting Coordinator

PROJECT MONITORING AND REPORTING COORDINATOR based in Dhaka

The role of the M&R Coordinator is to assist in monitoring and reporting of ongoing projects to ensure high quality program implementation including MMC’s governance project activities through the CVIPS, a four year project, in its fourth year.

  • Reports to: Project Director – MMC-CVIPS, Dhaka
  • No of positions: 1 (especially for women)

Major Duties Include

  • Responsible for the Project database ensuring project information is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Responsible for the data collection, compilation and analysis.
  • Prepare monitoring reports using data collection tools developed by MMC
  • Identifying and documenting lessons learnt; collecting information for case studies; writing and preparing success stories and facilitating periodic reviews, and prepare presentation on achievement of CVIPS project.
  • Assisting in preparing quarterly and annual progress reports for the SDC Program in cooperation with the Project Director and the project team in the Sylhet and Rajshahi Regions of Bangladesh.
  • In coordination with the Project Director, establishing a reporting schedule in accordance with the requirements of the various ongoing projects and ensuring adherence to the reporting deadlines.

Job Qualifications:

  • A university degree in development, management, business administration, or related field.
  • A minimum of seven years experience with a Masters degree
  • Experience & familiarity in social development issues and the NGO sector in Bangladesh and the globe.
  • Masters degree in development studies is an advantage.
  • Advance degree in research methodology is an advantage.

Skills and Personal attributes:

  • Proficiency in writing in English and Bangla
  • Report writing and Concept note writing in both languages
  • Experience in Qualitative and Quantitative Research
  • Computer (MS-Office including MS-Project, Excel, Soft ware-SPSS)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Adept skills in project cycle management
  • Working within a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and meeting deadlines
