Job Title: Manager - Sales

Age Band: 30-40 years

Job Purpose:
To manage the Company’s Commercial Vehicle sales in the Country with the aim of maximizing sales volumes and profitability and achieving market positions in line with the strategic plans of the Company.

Key Thrust Areas/ Job Responsibilities

  • To achieve volume targets and brand building of Company through continuous channel management.
  • Extremely sensitive to service and product related issues and escalates for timely closure
  • Responsible for network expansion.
  • To understand the potential of Commercial Vehicle in the markets.
  • Understanding of the various geography of the country and matching segments and industry potential
  • To implement the launch of products, implement actions for brand building and marketing, service and spares related action.
  • Ability to forecast and plant orders in line with market expectation
  • Good leadership skill and ability to handhold and guide distributor the team on delivering the desired expectation
  • Ability to understand various marketing and Sales initiatives done by competition and plan counter measures.
Key Tasks & Activities:
Frequency
Identify potential market and interested prospective dealers within the country, shortlist, select and finalize the dealer as per defined process.
Regular
Monthly reporting of Retails, marketing initiatives and sales activities.
Monthly
Create product launch plan and execution.
For each new product
Create annual business plan for actions to be taken for brand building, sales and volume growth
Annually
Constant review and correspondence with dealers & field team for orders and payment collection.
Regular
Conceptualizing marketing support by constantly interacting with dealer and marketing team and developing POS, artworks, etc.
Regular
Monthly orders finalization.
Monthly
Constantly review and assess the market through continuous correspondence and frequent market visits with the team.

Assist Business Head in budget planning and budget adherence.
Regular
Continuous development and capability enhancement of self/team and dealer manpower through trainings and OJT.

Ensure the professional leadership, management and motivation of the team in each territory through regular market visits, ensuring effective communication on the company’s philosophies, policies and objectives and providing field sales support, advice, training and system.

Continuous monitoring of the competition in the market and implement the innovative ideas to ensure greater market share.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Qualification: BE, BTech , MBA ( preferred) Experience: Min 7 years

Language Proficiency:
Bengali, English.

Travel Frequency:
Travel to each market- almost once in a month when business is in full swing.

Competencies/Skills/Knowledge: (Top Three)

Functional:

  • Knowledge of big volume business in  channel based sales & marketing
  • Knowledge of automobiles, CV experience preferred

Behavioral:

  • Leadership and team building
  • Negotiation skills
  • Presentation Skills
