We have an immediate job opening for Programmers who will be able to create and maintain internal software programs for our businesses. The ideal candidates must have strong background in software development and programming using Ruby on Rails. The candidates have to be a hard-working individual who has a creative but analytical mindset. He or she should be self-motivated and self-supervised, as telecommuting is encouraged for at least part of the work week.

Job responsibilities

• Design and develop high-volume applications that deliver high level of performance
• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
• Write well designed, testable, efficient code
• Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications
• Prepare and produce releases of software components
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review
• Debug code for existing programs based on immediate need
• Conduct end-user training upon completion of software
• Troubleshoot system bugs and issues

Skills and qualifications

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related
• 2+ years’ software development experience
• Proven hands-on Software Development experience using Ruby on Rails.
• Proven working experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms
• Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate)
• Experience with test-driven development
• Ability to focus on multiple projects at once and to troubleshoot problems quickly
