Agronomist/ Agriculture Project Manager

Job Description/ Responsibility

Agricultural project managers are responsible for the daily planning, organization, supervision and administration of growing and fruits and vegetables. Typical responsibilities include:

• Planning, maintaining and nurturing fruits and vegetables.
• Forward planning (forecasting)
• Has experienced knowledge of organic vegetables and fruits
• Organizing sales and purchases of livestock(goats,cows,turkey,fish), farm equipment, crops and agricultural products (medicinal plants)
• Recruiting, training/instructing and supervising farm workers
• Keeping an up-to-date knowledge of pests and diseases
• Ensuring that the project is profitable  and meets projected financial targets
• Organizing maintenance/repair of farm property, equipment and machinery
• Expertise in small scale agro farming management

Job Nature : Full-time (has to live in site)

Educational Requirements

• Masters or Diploma Degree/BSc in Agriculture or related field

Experience Requirements :

• Minimum 5 year(s) and above

Additional Job Requirements :

• Age 30 and above
• 3-5 years’ experience in agro-business development and management of agriculture focused projects in Gazipur.
• Experience in the practice, principles and operations associated with modern production agriculture and livestock feeding of goats, cows, tukeys,fish,etc
• Expertise in small scale agro farming management
• Computer literate (primarily in Microsoft Office Packages)

Salary Range : Negotiable
