Job context:

LEDARS is NGO Affairs Bureau affiliated NGO working in the southwest coastal region of Bangladesh since 1998. The southwest coastal region is one of the climate vulnerable area of the country and people are suffering so much. In this context, LEDARS is implementing a project entitled 'Strengthening Livelihood Security of Climate Change Vulnerable People' in Sundarbans region with financial support of German based donor agency. LEDARS is going to hire a Program Manager. It is the most senior level position and will be key person for program operation ‍and fund raising. She/he will be fully responsible to ensure proper management of program, development new program and fund raising. Following are the major job requirements of this post.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to team members to smooth operation of program,
• Knowledge of Project Cycle Management(PCM) and development PCM and monitoring frameworks,
• Experience in working on climate change, resilient agricultural, WASH and DRR project context (research, implementation, evaluation),
• Initiating extra activities and other management interventions wherever gaps in the program are identified or issues arise,
• Ensuring effective quality assurance and the overall integrity of the program,
• Have knowledge on development of quality proposal, logical framework, concept note, expression of interest and paper writing (report editing skills, writing media articles, publishable papers), donor communication and fund mobilization.
• Development of necessary document like periodic progress report, success story, promotional materials etc.
• Planning and designing the program and proactively monitoring its progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action.
• Defining the program's governance arrangements,
• Ability to handle complex situation and varied workload,

Educational Requirements

• Minimum Masters degree in English or any discipline with reputed university.

Experience Requirements:

• At least 5 years in senior level management in NGO and fund-raising activities.

Additional Requirements:

• Both males and females can apply,
• She/he should have working experience in participatory program planning, management, monitoring, evaluation and effectively use of PRA tools,
• Should have experience to write concept note, project proposal, logical framework development, etc.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and fluency in spoken and written English.
• Interested to travel in rural area.
• Applicant who have experience in coastal area and climate change will get special priority.  
• Excellent ability to work with a virtual cross-functional team.
• Good knowledge on computer operation including Office software and internet browsing,
