Position: Asst. Engineer / Engineer, Biomedical Engineering Department

Duties, Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • To Work closely with doctors, nurses, therapists and technicians to ensure smooth operation of biomedical engineering equipment.
  • To effectively handle queries (from end users) about functioning of medical equipment.
  • To install, repair, maintain, calibrate and inspect medical equipment and instruments in hospital and diagnostic centers.
  • To perform preventive maintenance, and electrical safety testing of clinical equipment, devices and system.
  • To diagnose and troubleshoot system and equipment malfunctions. 
  • To assist with and evaluate third party repairs and maintenance.
  • To provide training to end users.
  • Must be a hands-on person with pro-active attitude.

Job location: Dhaka/ Outside Dhaka

Job nature: Full time

Education: Diploma / Bachelor in Biomedical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Applied Physics from any recognized university. [In case of highly experienced candidates, education level can be considered.]

Experience: Minimum 2- 5 years’ experience in relevant field preferably in hospital / diagnostic labs. [Fresh graduates from public Engineering universities will also be considered].

Preferences: Preference will be given to those who have worked for quality accreditation as part of a hospital / lab  Experience with OEM(s) will be valuable.

Salary: Negotiable
