Position: Technical Service Manager (TSM)

Job Description / Responsibility

  • To determine, develop and recommend appropriate QA/QC controls, processes and procedures, to ensure that all products developed meet mandatory safety and legal standards, complying with Company quality, environmental and ethical requirements / policies
  • Accountable for the Technical Service function of the office for respective KPI performance
  • Management of agreed departmental budgets for travel, testing and inspection expenditure
  • Monitor the performance of suppliers through assessment and grading. Action plans for improvements to be agreed, developed and instigated.
  • Define and maintain quality procedures and standards in line with Company / departmental policies and strategies.
  • Training & Development of team & source base
  • Provide validation in claims issues
  • Plan & prioritizing production schedule with DMM to ensure on time delivery
  • Drive pre-production meeting with Merchandise Team and highlight ways of improving working process/potential quality issues

Educational Requirements

  • Masters/ Bachelor/Diploma Degree

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in apparel manufacturing & Quality Department
  • Formal technical qualification.
  • Knowledge of appropriate standards and legislation.
  • Must have experience in managing a team of minimum 30 staffs
  • Experience of  managing team members from different nationalities
  • Excellent communication skills and good command of spoken and written English, plus proficiency in local language
  • Good Microsoft Office / PC skills.

Age requirements

  • Not Less than 30 years

Additional Job Requirements 

  • Experience of quality assurance, product development and bulk execution(sew to finish)
  • Experience of supplier assessments as lead assessor, and auditing techniques
  • Experience of contractor capabilities, capacity planning
  • Excellent product and testing knowledge.
  • Possess  business and financial acumen and ability to demonstrate strategic perspective when evaluating issues and recommendations
  • Able to influence cross functional team members and drive team to meet business results. 
  • Ability to prioritize and manage team resource.
  • Experience of formulating procedures, reports, etc.
  • Excellent influencing, negotiating, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data for conclusions and recommendations.
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Team player
  • Proven leadership and management skills
  • Able to provide training/coaching to team members
