We are looking for a Quality Assurance Manager position for our Dhaka Liaison office.  We encourage expat resumes. 

Position: Quality Assurance Manager

Summary of the Role’s Main Purpose

  • To manage and lead a team of Technologists in various locations to deliver all technical aspects of product development and ongoing technical management of Clothing products from Asia.
  • Ensure products meet quality, legal and safety requirements
  • Ensuring that products are shipped with no quality incidents at destination and on time
  • Maintain, develop and train team members to secure core competencies are developed and capable of meeting current and future challenges
  • Maintain effective working relationship with related internal stakeholders in Asia and Europe.
  • KPI’s Management and building for whole team

Principle Accountabilities

  • Develop and implement QA/QC Strategies to support the business
  • Develop and coach team members and performance reviews with the team
  • Train and develop team members to secure competencies are developed and maintained, ensure that key people are in place to deliver the required growth
  • Work closely with merchandising Team to develop and execute strategy for category delivery
  • Ensure compliance to established quality processes, ensure proper documentation is maintained, and constantly optimize working practices
  • Ensure working practices are fully aligned with HO team, understood and implemented by local team and external stakeholder such as suppliers and third party inspection and test firms
  • Secure evaluation of new supplier capability against business needs, conduction of supplier approval when necessary and make recommendation to Merchandiser and HO concerning optimization of the supplier base
  • Monitoring Supplier performance and execute continuous improvement actions
  • Secure that product incidents are thoroughly investigated and escalated to senior management Building and lead the technical team

Core Areas of Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • 10 years+ experience in relevant QA/QC discipline gained clothing trade, manufacturing background preferably with European operations.
  • Excellent leadership skills and people management with fluent written and spoken English.
  • Robust personality able to work under pressure and make balanced decisions.
