Job Description
- To maintain liaison with Bangladesh Bank, Security Exchange Commission, Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and other Banks and regulatory authorities.
- To ensure timely submission of returns to Bangladesh Bank and other regulatory authorities.
- To invest in share trading on Company's account including sales and buy in A category shares after examining their market value and other considerations.
- To supervise daily trading activities.
- To activate trading in portfolio accounts by prudent investment and sanctioning margin loan as per criteria set by SEC and the Company.
- To ensure compliance of margin loan conditions, sale, purchase and refund of money to investors.
- To maintain liaison with enlisted brokerage houses regarding the services rendered by them and for improving operational efficiency.
- To ensure delivering customized clientele service to keep the investors happy & satisfied.
- To monitor dealing officers and traders of the panel brokers.
- To oversee and monitor excess buy, negative & positive equity, purchase power limit, broker wise netting etc.
- To implement a strong monitoring and controlling system over the investors with higher margin loan ratio and negative equity.
- To comply and ensure implementation of any change/ addition/ deletion/ modification/ alteration of any rules/ regulations of SEC related to margin loan and portfolio management.
- To find and secure new Investors for the development of the Co. to maximize profit.
- To design, develop, prepare and submit management reports on the activities of the section to the head of the department.
- To ensure extending margin loan facility analyzing case to case basis as per Co. policy and maintain margin loan ratio and limit as per company policy & SEC rules.
- To train up the officers working in the Department.
- To realize optimum output from the officers working in the Department.
- To augment the standard of service of the Company.
- To look after the cleanliness of the office and working environment.
- To increase efficiency and mobility of the staff.
- To oversee the operations of all equipments installed in the Merchant Banking premises.
- Perform other duties as and when assigned by the Management.
Job Requirement
- Masters Degree in Finance/Banking/Accounting/Marketing/Management/Economics from any recognized university.
- Minimum 8 years working experience in capital market including 5 years in merchant bank out of which at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Extensive knowledge on capital market investment, issue management, portfolio management, corporate advisory and relevant regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bangla.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Self motivated and able to work with initiative.
