Position: Sustainability Manager

Job Description / Responsibility:

  • Implement Code of Conduct (COC) provided by the buyers.
  • On time accurate data.
  • Co-ordinate and communicate to top management.
  • Identify gap areas in relation to sustainability strategy & create action plan for improvement.
  • Secure implementation on action plan
  • Monitor the progress based on long term sustainability plan
  • Maintain up to date law development, trends, and industry initiatives.
  • Confirm the compliance and buyer audit issues to ensure the satisfaction of potential buyers.
  • Prepare the working environments in accordance with social compliance standards as well as Sedex, BSCI, WRAP & ISOs requirements.
  • Look after the compliance issues in line with Labor Law 2006 & Labor Rules 2015 and also other govt. regulation bodies as well.
  • Meet up the requirement of Accord, Alliance, Better Work & other bodied empowered to supervise & enforce compliance
  • Must take 100% responsibility to maintain ethical, health and safety standard of the factory.
  • Should have knowledge of fire hydrant system, fire drill & industrial 
  • Develop and deliver training opportunities that increase internal and external awareness and promotion of strong compliance, especially on fire and structural safety.

Educational Requirements:

  • MBA in any subject form any reputed university.

Job Requirements:

  • Age 30 to 50 years
  • Minimum 15 years working experience, 5 years working experience as a Sustainability Manager in a leading buying house (Local/ Foreign).
  • Good Communication skills in both English and Bengali
  • Good leadership ability to lead & motivate the subordinates and must have good interpersonal skills to be able to motivate and lead a workforce.
  • Able to work under pressure, complete the task within a preset time-frame as a professional manner.
