A reputed national-level development communication organization working in the field of Strategic Communication with GoB, USAID, World Bank and UN funds requires a dynamic, experienced and hard-working person who will join in the Senior Communication Specialist Team and be involved in Strengthening capacity of IEM Unit of the Director General Family Planning office in Planning, Designing, Implementing and Evaluating Social Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) campaigns and interventions in a synergetic manner following a systematic process.

Job Description / Responsibility:

• Strengthen capacity of IEM in planning, designing, implementing and evaluating SBCC campaigns and interventions in a synergistic manner following a systematic process;
• Provide hands-on mentoring and coaching to transfer the skills to the Unit officials in developing SBCC packages, impact assessments etc.; and to coordinate effectively with division and district level officials;
• Strengthen capacity to design community mobilization approaches for SBCC activities using participatory and interactive techniques; and to coordinate the roll-out of these approaches with the division and district level staff;
• Facilitate the wider dissemination and use of digital resources (eToolkits, eLearning courses) by DGFP and DGHS throughout the country;
• Continue supporting the Unit for effective and efficient management and use of digital archive (updating and uploading content periodically) and linking them with other ministries and non-government organizations, private sector and academic institutions;
• Facilitate and support the BCC Working Group to be more engaging and vibrant platforms for sharing and exchanging innovation and achievements of HPN SBCC sector. Support Units to identify, document and showcase best practices in HPN SBCC sector;
• Collaborate and establish functional linkages with other Units of DGHS and DGFP through HPN coordination committee;
• Facilitate the mainstreaming of SBCC monitoring checklist and other monitoring tools in national MIS of DGHS and DGFP;
• Support and facilitate the Units to conduct periodic assessments of SBCC and knowledge management (KM) capacity, identify the gaps and plan to address them.
• Support IEM to contribute to and participate in Ujjiban’s Transmedia platform.

Educational Requirements

• Masters Degree preferably in Sociology/Public Health or related field relevant to the position.

Experience Requirements

• Person with at least 7 years working experience in designing and developing policy and advocacy strategic communication.
• Strengthen capacity of team members, Government counterparts and partners.

Additional Job Requirements 

• Excellent fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory for this position.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, establish goals and develop plans to meet those goals. 
• Ability to work independently and to collaborate across the organization
• Should possess good presentation skill
• Good computer literacy is essential

Salary Range

• Salary is negotiable depending on the experience and qualification of the candidate.
