A large company in service sector is going to launch Direct to Home (DTH) TV services in Bangladesh. It aims to be a key player in the household category to deliver best quality TV viewing experiences to the viewers at affordable cost. At this moment, we are in search of suitable candidate for the following position.
Senior Manager/ Manager, Marketing

Responsibilities  :




MBA (Marketing) preferable from renowned public/private university.

  • Plan, develop and implement marketing strategies for DTH Business Operations including Branding, Advertising and PR.
  • Plan, develop, and implement marketing communication and media strategies and execute them through advertising campaigns in various types of media such as TV, print, radio, outdoor advertising, mobile, social media, SEO, SEM.
  • Source customer information, market conditions, competitions and analyzing them to take appropriate marketing drive for brand development and attaining market share.
  • Evaluating product/brand strengths and weaknesses, confirming that product/brand continues to support the overall brand and supports current needs of our customers and end users.
  • To research - analyze all marketing activities of our business (sales-product/service mix - customer profile - demographic etc.) - campaign and propose effective ideas on :
         a) Product positioning;
         b) Chain Positioning;
         c) Merchandise Point of Purchasing (POP)/Point of Sale (POS);
         d) Local Store Marketing (LSM) Programs;
         e) Flagship shop Marketing;
         f) Trade Marketing Activities etc.
  • Develop, manage, implement creative, effective and successful annual marketing plans for the product/service distribution along with the chain/trade marketing strategy and annual market plan and budget. Accountable for continually refining marketing processes, procedures, and tools to enable the company to reach its goals as planned.
  • Marketing plans should include � advertising, sales promotion, public relations, product development, pricing and distribution.
  • Prepare entire marketing plan including detail activities in order to achieve the target aligning the distribution target.
  • Appointing vendors (Film Producers, Photographers, Printers, Processors) for brand operation activities
  • Build interpersonal cooperation and teamwork between diverse operation units and cross-functional teams including franchise operations.
  • Recruit, manage, train and motivate direct reporting staff according to company procedures (performance management), policy and employment law.
  • Any other task as assigned by management.

5-8 years hand on experience in Media/Telecom/FMCG. Exposure to Television/ Media and entertainment space Preferred.

Very good communication skills, Self-motivated and ability to discuss strategic and sensitive issues. Understand and develop long term business vision. Coordination and planning of budgets, people and time management. Recognize problems and reacting quickly and effectively to resolve them. Analytical expertise in understanding complex issues and their consequences.

Good in MS Office application, Internet, database.
