Duties & Responsibilities:
- Monitor the scheduled and routine control and instrumentation maintenance activities to ensure work carried out as per specifications and procedures.
- Monitor the progress of the Control & Instrumentation maintenance and associated Mechanical activities and take the necessary actions for timely completion.
- Procurement of spares and contract services required for the maintenance activities.
- Reviewing the work methods / procedures / frequencies for improvement in Maximo. By planning and execution of scheduled, routine, predictive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Manpower planning and arranging the necessary resources and facilities for the timely completion of the jobs.
- Involve deeply in mechanical oriented jobs because of common parts in Instrument and Mechanical equipments. This needs good co-ordination with Mechanical activities.
- Support to other department for continual improvement of system-Electrical, Mechanical, Health, Safety & Environment.
- Handle GT schedules outages CI/HGPI. Utilizing past experience of GE 9E and 9FA M/C.
- Keep myself updating with overall plant activities on day to day basis.
- Procurement of important spares and follow-up of purchase of spares to ensure delivery.
- Supervise and monitor maintenance and overhaul activities with timely completion and ensure work carried out as per specification.
- Trouble shooting/fault diagnosis/failure analysis to address failure and breakdown of equipment.
- Provide on the job training to subordinates to make them able to handle the jobs independently.
- Attend various inter-discipline, inter-departmental meeting for co-ordination and resolving various plant related issues.
- Ensure compliance of HS&E.
- Develop modification proposals for plant to make it more reliable and available.
- Bring up EHS concerns to the attention of his direct supervisor or EHS department.
- Be vigilant in the work area, identify and report to their Supervisors about imminent dangers / hazards / concerns to environment, health and safety.
- Always follow the standard operations control procedures and good EHS practices such as life saving rules, reporting of near misses, PTW compliance etc. so as to avoid any activity which might lead to EHS incidents / nonconformities.
- Participate in EHS trainings and awareness sessions/ campaigns.
- Follow sound environmental practices for conservation of natural resources, good housekeeping and proper waste disposals on and off duty.
- Perform Behaviour Based Safety Observation (BBSO) as per compliance requirements.
- Perform task as assigned by immediate supervisor as and when required.
Required qualification and experience:
Education: B.Sc in Electrical Engineering / Instrumentation & Control Engineering from a recognized college/ university/ institution.
Prior Work Experience: 12 years year experiences in I&C Maintenance in Utility/Power Plants or Chemical Process Plant. Hands on working experience in Control Systems PLC- (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Honeywell) and DCS System (Yokogawa, Honeywell TPS3000), SCADA Systems like Wonderware, Citect.
Additional Training/Qualification: Experienced and hands on working experience in Control Systems PLC- (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Honeywell) and DCS System (Yokogawa, Honeywell TPS3000), SCADA Systems like Wonderware, Citect. Computer literacy in MS office is a must.
Knowledge: Familiar with instrument installations practices. Field experience on conventional and analytical instruments in the water and process industries.
Skills and Abilities: Should have capability to understand electrical & I&C drawings, troubleshoot independently, plan & execute preventive & break down maintenance, handle any emergency situation in case of fire, accident, etc. Also should be capable in writing work report.
Language Proficiency: Good Working Knowledge both in English & Bangla.
